Job summary

EY Global Delivery Services seeks an Associate Manager – Business Modelling to join EY‑Valuation, Modelling and Economics. You will steer engagement teams and build financial models for corporate finance, valuation and capital structuring, while mentoring others.

You will work with a multidisciplinary, global team across industries, delivering high‑quality modelling and analysis that informs strategic decisions for clients and supports transactions and regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting (CA) or Business with 6–8 years of related experience.
• Experience in Financial Modelling and Valuation, or in corporate finance with debt-raising focus.
• Advanced knowledge across Industrials, Automotive, Consumer Products, Healthcare, Private Equity, and Capital Markets.

Responsibilities

• Steer engagement teams, help execute Business Modelling services that support key decision-makers in developing and implementing their transaction, financing or operational conclusions.
• Understand client requirements and build financial models that support decision-making processes across corporate finance.
• Be involved in modelling transactions (mergers and acquisitions), financial feasibility studies, corporate and debt restructuring, valuation and corporate strategy.
• Identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed.
• Continuously learn and teach, mentoring others while advancing your own career.
• Take ownership of your projects while collaborating with other team members.
• Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with clients to win repeat business.

Associate Manager – Business Modelling

As part of our EY‑Valuation, Modelling and Economics team, you will help clients understand the value of their business, securities, intellectual property, capital equipment, intangibles and other assets. The group is comprised of several key areas, including business valuation, business modelling, capital equipment and complex securities.

The opportunity

We are looking for an Associate Manager with expertise in Business Modelling to join EY‑VME (Valuation, Modelling and Economics). Over the past decade, financial modelling in the corporate finance space has continued to grow at a healthy pace. Our Business Modelling group creates social and economic value for our clients by helping them make more informed decisions about strategically managing capital and transactions. In short, we help clients with their corporate finance modelling steps using traditional as well as newer technologies to meet client needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Experienced in reviewing and building complex financial models based in MS Excel/VBA.
• A postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting (CA) or Business with 6‑8 years of related experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in Financial Modelling and Valuation, or in a Corporate Finance role with a focus on debt‑raising activities.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in sectors such as Industrials and Automotive, Consumer Products and Retail, Healthcare and Life Sciences, Private Equity, Wealth and Asset Management, Banking and Capital Markets.
• Experience building tools to process data using R or Python in the corporate finance modelling space is an added advantage.
• Excellent project‑management, communication, interpersonal and teaming skills.
• Ability to work within a given budget and schedule, delivering high‑quality results in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Progress toward a CFA, FRM, PRM or PMP designation is a plus, with expectation of completion within a set timeframe.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• A minimum of 6‑8 years of relevant experience with a national valuation firm or accounting firm’s business modelling practice, or in quantitative management, litigation consulting, investment banking, private equity/venture capital, or commercial banking.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

• Developed or reviewed models in Excel/VBA; additional skills in R or Python for financial modelling are a plus.
