Job summary

EYGBS (INDIA) LLP is seeking a Senior Actuarial Professional to join the Life Insurance Managed Services practice. You will work with senior leaders to deliver solutions for major clients in the insurance sector and develop a high‑performing team across EY's global network.

The role emphasizes modeling, valuation, and regulatory understanding with exposure to US products andGDS processes, while enabling long-term advisor relationships.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in valuation / reporting / pricing or modelling function in life actuarial team of an insurance / consulting / outsourcing company.
• Good analytical skills and ability to review work for quality under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS-Office Suite, Power BI, VBA, SAS, R Programming, Python, SQL, SPSS is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with actuarial valuation software such as Prophet / Axis / MG Alpha.

• Support large scale engagements and deliver high‑quality client solutions.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships and networks within EY's global insurance network.
• Maneuver around existing modeling setups to incorporate asset or liability cashflows.

We are looking for a Senior to join our Life Insurance Managed Services Actuarial Practice delivering solutions to the leading clients in Insurance Sector, working closely with other Staff/Assistants, Consultants/Seniors, Managers, Senior Managers or Client partners in EYs global network of insurance sector and consulting professionals.

You can expect to work along with senior managers/directors to support large scale engagements and deliver high-quality client solutions. You will develop and maintain long-term relationships and networks, build and energize a high performing team.

Key Requirements :

• Good understanding of US product lines and regulatory standards; hands-on implementation experience (desirable)
• Experience of handling a small to moderate sized team will be an advantage
• Ability to review work done by junior members, ensuring quality of work product during time sensitive deadlines
• Ability to maneuver around existing modeling setup to incorporate the asset or liability cashflows
• Understanding of AoC concept and AoC steps (unwinding, roll forward, assumption changes, experience variances)
• Strong excel skills, capable of running and modifying macros used to transform Actuarial Cashflows
• Hands-on experience in actuarial valuation software such as Prophet / Axis / MG Alpha. Advanced level experience in one of these softwares will be valuable
• Strong experience on Excel is must and experience on VBA would be good
• Good experience of preparing PPT decks
• In-depth understanding of insurance products and regulations of one or more geographies

To qualify for the role, you must have :

• 3-6 years of experience in valuation / reporting / pricing or modelling function in life actuarial team of an insurance / consulting / outsourcing company
• Good analytical skills
• Ability to do investigations in models / reporting process and independently solve problems
• Willingness to learn and apply learning actively in project work
• Proficiency in MS-Office Suite, Power BI, VBA, SAS, R Programming, Python, SQL, SPSS, etc., will be a plus

Ideally, youll also have :

• Good actuarial exam progress
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing, industry studies and stakeholder presentations
• The ability to build relationships with colleagues across the business, support them and promote a collaborative environment
• Overseas exposure (especially Australia/UK/US/Europe market experience)
