Job summary

Merck Group is seeking an SAP PI/PO and BTP Integration Suite Developer to act as Solution Owner for integration solutions that facilitate information exchange across systems, both internal and external. You will design, implement, and govern interface solutions following defined change processes and standards.

You will lead technical design, provide functional/technical support to project teams, and ensure compliance with process, security, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or related engineering.
• 10 years of experience in software or applications services.
• 5 years of experience in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design of applications/solutions in the portfolio.
• Provide technical services and functional advise on Interface implementations.
• Provide technical input for development standards and guidelines.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through proper solution design and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Security, Networking, SAP Basis and external stakeholders for new interface setups.
• Migrate complex processes from PO/other middleware to SAP Integration Suite.

The SAP PI/PO and BTP Integration Suite Developer acts as Solution Owner for integration solutions to facilitate the exchange of information among various systems and applications within the company and those of external parties. The role includes the solutioning, design and implementation of adequate interface solutions following defined change processes and standards according to customer requirements.

Your Role

Ensure customer satisfaction through proper solution design delivery, applications life cycle management and service performance monitoring while maintaining necessary internal (process, security) and external (GxP, GDPR, license) compliance.

Secure minimal business disruption on application go live based on proper design and formal project hand-over process.

• Lead technical design of applications/solutions in portfolio.
• Provide technical services and functional advice on the implementation of Interfaces
• Provide functional/technical support to project teams.
• Provide technical input for defining and maintaining the development standard and guidelines.
• Expertise in SAP PO - Process Orchestration (Java Single Stack).
• Deep understanding of SAP CPI or SAP Integration Suite.
• Proven experience in at least two SAP CPI or SAP IS implementation projects.
• Solution Architect skills to migrate complex processes from PO or other middleware to SAP Integration Suite.
• Profound knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform Integration tools, techniques, and best practices.
• Mastery of design patterns in SAP IS/CPI, Groovy scripts, API development, and Mappings.
• Proficiency in defining, designing, and implementing Iflow templates for global processes.
• In-depth knowledge of EDI and Trading Partner Management in SAP PO and SAP IS/CPI.
• Decision-making skills and accountability for integration under your area of expertise.
• Independent coordination of new interface setups, collaborating with various teams including Security, Networking, SAP Basis, internal and external stakeholders.
• Solid background in ERP systems to enable ALE/EDI.
• Comprehensive knowledge in SFDC Integration, Ariba integration, and SOA Manager configuration in ERP systems.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment, taking ownership of end-to-end processes.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.

Who You Are

• Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences or related engineering Course.
• 10-year experience in software or applications services
• 5-year experience within an international environment

English mandatory (written and spoken).

An additional language (German) is an asset.
