Role & responsibilities

• Legal Advisory & Support:Provide specialist legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on assigned areas of law (e.g. corporate, commercial, contracts, IP).Interpret and apply legal frameworks to day-to-day business operations, escalating complex or strategic matters to the CFO - Finance.
• Contract Management:Draft, review and negotiate contracts including supplier agreements, customer contracts, and partnership agreements within defined authority.Ensure contracts are legally sound and standardized, and maintain contract documentation/trackers.
• Litigation Support:Support management of litigation matters, including coordination with external counsel, documentation and case tracking.Assist in implementing dispute resolution mechanisms and support settlement negotiations under guidance.
• Copyrights & Intellectual Property:Support monitoring, registration, and renewal of IP assets across jurisdictions.Assist in identifying and addressing IP infringements in coordination with external counsel and the CFO - Finance.
• Regulatory Reporting:Support timely and accurate reporting to regulatory authorities.Track changes in applicable regulations and flag their impact on business practices to the CFO - Finance.
• Support Compliance Programs:Assist in execution of compliance programs, audits and risk assessments as directed.Maintain compliance trackers/dashboards and highlight gaps for corrective action.
• Support Corporate Governance:Support the CFO - Finance / Company Secretarial function with documentation and coordination for corporate governance and board-related matters, as required.
• Corporate Law:Working knowledge of corporate law and commercial contracts.
• Regulatory Compliance:Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards applicable to the business.
