Job summary

Xplor Technologies in Pune, India, is seeking a QA Engineer II to strengthen our software quality program. You will write and execute test scripts for new features, ensure clarity of business requirements, and contribute to QA strategy across teams.

The role emphasizes manual testing with automation exposure, SDLC/Agile knowledge, and collaboration with product managers, developers, and QA peers to deliver reliable software for our fitness and related industries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in manual testing and understanding of test automation.
• Solid experience in writing, executing, and reviewing test cases.
• Experience supporting complex ERP systems.
• QA Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies and defect lifecycle.
• Knowledge of version control and build management tools (Git, Maven/Gradle).
• CI/CD & Tools: Exposure to Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar.
• Automation Expertise: knowledge of Java, Cucumber, BDD, and Gherkin is a plus.
• Experience in implementing automation test cases is a plus.
• Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL is a plus.

Purpose

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will be essential to all aspects of quality assurance and testing processes within our organization. Leveraging your experience and expertise in software quality, you will help define and implement strategic initiatives to enhance product quality, improve testing efficiency, and drive continuous improvement. You will be part of one of our software engineering teams where you will be writing and executing the test scripts for the new features that the team is responsible for. You will help ensure the quality and understanding of often complex business requirements. Additionally, you will be part of our QA community that continuously assesses the current state of the system and is driving the strategy for QA going forward, including both how to test already existing functionality, and how to ensure proper QA on future development (incl. the tools and practices used for testing).

Key Responsibilities

Experience and Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in manual testing and understanding of test automation.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze requirements and identify gaps in test coverage.
• Manual Testing: Solid experience in writing, executing, and reviewing test cases.
• Experience supporting complex ERP systems.
• QA Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies and defect lifecycle.
• Knowledge of version control and build management tools (Git, Maven/Gradle).
• CI/CD & Tools: Exposure to Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar.
• Hardware peripherals and network troubleshooting.
• Automation Expertise: knowledge of Java, Cucumber, BDD, and Gherkin is a plus.
• Experience in implementing automation test cases is a plus.
• Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience of the Health and Fitness industry is a plus.
