Job summary

Transcon IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Kolkata invites candidates for an entry-level AV/IT technician role.

You will assist in installing and configuring AV and IT equipment, including displays, projectors, and control systems. The position requires travel to project sites and client locations as needed. You will support routine maintenance, handle cabling and connectivity, and prepare essential reports and checklists.

Qualifications

• Higher Secondary in Pure Science (Physics, Chemistry & Math) completed.
• Diploma / ITI / Certification in Electronics, Electrical, AV Technology, IT or related disciplines preferred.
• Internship or hands-on training in Electronics, Telecommunication, IT Infrastructure, Networking, or AV Systems preferred.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office, Windows OS, email, and networking.
• Basic knowledge of AV peripherals and IT peripherals.
• Willing to work at project sites and travel.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn new AV/IT technologies.
• AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage.
• Safety guidelines adherence and basic electrical safety.
• Basic troubleshooting capability for AV/IT/electronic systems.
• Familiar with test equipment like multimeters and cable testers.
• Able to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
• Physically fit for on-site installation.
• Capable of preparing installation and service reports and checklists.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and setup of AV/IT equipment such as displays, projectors, audio systems, and control systems
• Support basic troubleshooting and maintenance of AV/IT systems
• Handle cabling, wiring, and connectivity of equipment
• Provide basic remote/online support when required
• Maintain proper documentation, site reports, and checklists

Candidate able to handle AV/IT equipment, assisting in the installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of audio-visual and IT systems, working on-site and traveling as required, supporting senior technicians in system setup and project execution, handling tools and proper documentation, good communication and willingness to learn.

1. The candidate must be completed Higher Secondary in Pure Science (Physics, Chemistry & Math)
2. Preference will be given to candidates holding Diploma / ITI / Certification in Electronics, Electrical, Audio-Visual Technology, IT, or other related technical disciplines.
3. Candidates having completed internship, apprenticeship, or hands-on training in Electronics, Telecommunication, IT Infrastructure, Networking, or Audio-Visual Systems will be preferred.
4. The candidate must possess basic knowledge of computer applications such as MS Office, Windows Operating System, email communication, and basic networking concepts.
5. The candidate must have the basic knowledge of IT peripherals such as monitors, projectors, displays, switches, routers, and conferencing equipment.
6. The candidate must be willing to work at project sites, client locations, and travel as per project requirements.
7. The candidate has good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
8. The candidate must demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies related to Audio-Visual, IT, and communication systems.
9. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, schematic drawings, or ability to interpret technical drawings will be considered an added advantage.
10. The candidate must follow basic safety practices while handling electrical and electronic equipment, including adherence to site safety guidelines.
11. The candidate must demonstrate basic troubleshooting capability related to electronic, electrical, and AV systems.
12. The candidate familiar with common tools and test equipment such as mustimeters, cable testers, and basic hand tools.
13. The candidate capable of reading and understanding technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
14. The candidate must be willing to work in flexible shifts, including weekends or extended hours, as per project requirements.
15. The candidate must be physically fit to perform on-site installation activities, including equipment handling, cable pulling, rack mounting, and working at heights (with proper safety measures).
16. The candidate must be capable of preparing basic documentation, installation reports, service reports, and maintenance checklists.

Engineering / Graduation Marks 75% & Above
