Job summary

Ayr Energy, Inc. in Hyderabad, India, seeks an Executive Supplier Quality (Fabrication) to lead supplier quality for metal fabrication and painting for transformer components.

You will review welding processes, inspect welds (TIG/MIG/STUD), ensure CTQ compliance, and drive process control with IS/IEC standards. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required, with 5–8 years (Diploma) or 3–5 years (BE) in supplier quality.

Qualifications

• Experience with welding processes and surface finishing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Executive Supplier Quality ( Fabrication)

Education/Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineer

Experience:

• For Diploma holder 5 to 8 years of experience in Supplier quality ( Fabrication )
• For BE holder 3 to 5 years of experience in Supplier quality ( Fabrication )
• Added advantage to candidate done any additional courses in welding process.

Knowledge:

• Good exposure in sheet metal manufacturing process like fabrication and painting. Mainly all fabricated items required for Transformer Industry background will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of fabrication work, welding process, welding inspection. Familiar with different types of welding, welding machines & equipment’s (TIG/MIG/ STUD welding)
• Understanding of technical documents like WPS, WPQR, Weld plan, Drawings, CTQ parameters.
• Knowledge of the supplier qualification process, documents requirement, understanding of material requirement, RMTC review. Required IS / IEC standards.
• Knowledge of the Pressure test & vacuum test process & acceptance criteria, leakage test.
• Knowledge of Surface preparation & different painting process, Inspection process of surface condition before painting & after painting, Testing & inspection of painted final product.
• Strong quality engineering capability including auditing, QMS knowledge, inspection planning, functional test application strategy, and overall process control from a risk mitigation approach
• Strong process control knowledge with full understanding of Process Maps, Process Control Plans, check sheet.
• Candidate should be basic knowledge with Microsoft office, particularly Excel & PowerPoint &word document.
• Inspection activity of fabrication items as per design & customer requirement at Supplier end.
• Work with supplier for Zero defect & Zero painting issue.
• Inspection of process follow up, maintaining the process parameters during welding, testing, surface preparation & painting. No deviation for process flow & parameters.
• Dimensional verification, CTQ dimension confirmation. Any deviation needs to follow with quality process documentation & deviation acceptance from design department.
• Monitoring & coordinating for any drawing change request & same implemented or not.
• Make Inspection plan as per scheduled & achieve the inspection deadline.
• Recording of the results of inspection, material TC.
• Familiar with different IS/IEC norms for materials, process.
• Material rejection analysis & educate the vendor.
• Interact regularly with Purchasing, Engineering and Suppliers for any improvement in requirement, quality of product or components.
