Job summary

Scimplify in Attibele (BLR) invites applications for a Store & Warehouse Operator for its R&D facility. This off-roll, 3rd party position requires 2+ years in store management or logistics, with a focus on chemicals handling and inventory control.

You will receive, inspect, and record materials, ensure safe storage, maintain ERP records, and coordinate inbound/outbound logistics while adhering to EHS rules and 5S practices, MSDS accessibility, and cross-functional coordination with R&D,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field.
• 2 to 6 years of experience in store management or logistics.
• Basic understanding of chemical classifications and hazardous materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations for the R&D facility.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of chemicals per compatibility and hazard classifications.
• Maintain inventory records using ERP or inventory management systems.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including vendor deliveries.
• Maintain documentation: GRNs, stock registers, delivery challans, and reports.
• Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile with system records.
• Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines and regulatory requirements for chemical storage.
• Maintain MSDS/SDS accessibility.
• Coordinate with R&D, procurement, quality, and operations teams to support projects.
• Ensure warehouse cleanliness and adherence to 5S practices.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations for the R&D facility.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
• Ensure proper storage, segregation, labeling, and handling of chemicals according to their compatibility and hazard classification.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP or inventory management systems.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement teams for timely replenishment.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including vendor deliveries and material dispatches.
• Maintain all relevant documentation, including Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), stock registers, delivery challans, and inventory reports.
• Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
• Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines, SOPs, and regulatory requirements related to chemical storage.
• Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) and ensure their accessibility within the facility.
• Coordinate with R&D, procurement, quality, and operations teams to support ongoing projects.
• Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and adherence to 5S practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Chemistry, Warehouse Management, or a related field.
• 2to6 years of experience in store management, warehouse operations, or logistics, preferably in chemical, pharmaceutical, specialty chemicals, or R&D environments.
• Basic understanding of chemical classifications, hazardous materials handling, and storage requirements.
