Diabetes is one of the fastest growing global health emergencies of the 21st century. India accounted for 74.1 million people with diabetes in the year 2021 which is expected to rise to 124.8 million by 2045. Diabetes has a substantial economic impact on individuals, families, countries and national health systems because of an increased burden on health systems, loss of productive life years and the long-term support needed to overcome diabetes related complications.
In 2010, Training Division, PHFI launched a nationwide capacity-building program Certificate Course in Evidence Based Diabetes Management (CCEBDM) in collaboration with Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes education academy (DMDEA), to provide training in diabetes management, by enhancing knowledge, skills, and core competencies of Primary care physicians (PCPs). It is a uniquely designed, 11 modular course with once-a-month, weekend training session.
The position requires to work closely with technical team in assisting with project execution, maintaining communication with stakeholders and handling routine administrative tasks.
