Job summary

EY in Mumbai seeks a valuation professional to handle tangible fixed assets across industrial assets, coordinating with clients and internal teams. You will analyze assets, prepare valuation models and ensure regulatory compliance under deadlines.

The role offers exposure to Strategy and Transactions and broad client interaction across sectors. Candidates should have 2+ years in tangible fixed assets valuation and a background in engineering or real estate valuation streams.

Qualifications

• Tangible Fixed Assets Valuation client-facing experience (2+ years).
• Bachelor/Masters level qualifications in engineering, valuation or related fields.
• Ability to read financial and regulatory documents and perform analyses.

Responsibilities

• Perform tangible fixed assets valuation across plant, machinery, buildings and land.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams; collect data and quotations.
• Develop valuation models from scratch under tight deadlines.
• Ensure risk management compliance and collaborate with managers/partners.
• Identify opportunities for existing clients and communicate findings to management.

Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

• The successful candidate will have to work on assignments involving tangible fixed assets majorly including plant & machinery, factory buildings, land and other real/personal properties across the variety of industry sectors which may include estimation of values by conducting site visits and analyses of comparable assets / properties through market research, replacement cost analyses. The responsibilities of the candidate include
• Interact with clients and coordination with Client/Company/Third party representatives
• Conducting site visits and data collection
• Understanding relevant regulations, applicable taxation, building bye-laws, etc.
• Read legal documents pertaining to land/real properties and technically evaluating buildings drawings, plant layouts etc on technical and regulatory parameters
• Analysing assumptions based on market parameters and past performance
• Interact with contractors/suppliers/vendors/OEMs and collect quotations for buildings and plant & machinery
• Analyse fixed assets register and comprehend balance sheet provided in MS Excel and identify material issues, which might impact the outputs of the valuation model.
• Ability to prepare a detailed valuation model from scratch with strict deadlines
• Managing reviews with the Managers and Partners
• Ensure compliance with risk management strategies, plans and activities.
• Understand the concept of risk management and bring to focus risk issues on client assignments and take issues to the notice of the manager/supervisor
• Begin to identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicates to manager
• Network internally within the peer group and other levels in the firm in order to gain understanding of issues that may impact issues with his clients
