Job summary

UPL is seeking a SAP FICO specialist to maintain and configure finance processes across GL, FA, AP, AR, CO-PA. The role focuses on delivering reliable month-end close support and timely enhancements to financial modules.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, assist with testing, documentation, and incident resolution, and strive to meet service-level targets while ensuring data integrity and audit readiness in a busy finance environment in Pune, India.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of SAP Finance business processes experience, including hands-on FICO configuration.
• Ability to support configuration, testing, issue analysis, and documentation under guidance.
• Experience with GL, FA, AP, AR, CO-PA modules is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support configuration and maintenance of SAP FICO processes across GL, FA, AP, AR, CO-PA.
• Assist with incident resolution, service requests, testing, documentation, and user support.
• Participate in MM/FI-CO and SD/FI-CO integration activities and enhancements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Support the configuration and maintenance of SAP FICO processes across General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cost Centre Accounting, Profit Centre Accounting, and Controlling–Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).

• Assist with incident resolution, service requests, testing, documentation, and user support.
• Participate in MM/FI-CO and SD/FI-CO integration activities and assigned enhancements.

Critical Expertise and Technical Requirements

Hands-on knowledge of company codes, charts of accounts, fiscal year variants, posting period variants, document types, number ranges, cost centres, profit centres, internal orders, and allocation cycles.

• Working knowledge of MM/FI-CO and SD/FI-CO integration.
• Ability to support configuration, testing, issue analysis, and functional documentation under guidance.

Leadership and Stakeholder Expectations

• Meet agreed service-level targets for incidents and service requests while minimising ticket reopen rates.
• Deliver assigned SAP FICO configurations and enhancements on time and to the required quality standards.
• Provide reliable month-end and year-end closing support with minimal disruption to critical finance processes.
• Support project team in performing the testing of business transactions.

Preferred Experience

2–3 years of experience in SAP Finance business processes, including hands‑on exposure to SAP FICO configuration and support.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, commerce, business administration, information systems, or a related stream.
