Job summary

Cerebra in Pune is seeking an experienced SAP PP Consultant (Discrete Manufacturing) to configure, implement, and support SAP PP processes. You will focus on production planning, MRP, BOMs, routings, and shop-floor execution, while ensuring data accuracy and governance.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, warehouse, quality, and finance teams to optimize end-to-end production. Experience in AI-assisted documentation and testing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant SAP PP experience.
• Strong understanding of discrete manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience with production planning, MRP, production orders, and shop floor execution.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP PP processes including MRP, production orders, and production execution.
• Manage BOMs, routings, work centres, capacity planning and production scheduling.
• Support order confirmations, backflushing, goods movements, and shop floor reporting.
• Integrate SAP PP with MM, QM, SD, FI/CO and MES.
• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, SIT, UAT, deployment, and hypercare support.
• Use AI copilots to accelerate documentation, test case generation, and issue resolution.
• Analyze MRP exceptions, material shortages, delays, and configuration-related defects.
• Ensure data accuracy, change management compliance, and production governance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, warehouse, quality, and finance teams.

Role: Custom Software Engineer – SAP PP
Location: Pune

We are looking for an experienced SAP PP Consultant with expertise in Production Planning and Control for discrete manufacturing environments. The candidate will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP PP processes to improve production planning, scheduling, material availability, and shop floor execution. The role also involves using AI-assisted tools to improve documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and overall delivery efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP PP processes, including Material Requirement Planning (MRP), production orders, and production execution.
• Manage Bill of Materials (BOM), routings, work centers, capacity planning, and production scheduling.
