Job summary

Sresta Natural Bioproducts Private Limited seeks a Field Certification professional to drive on-ground implementation of Internal Control Systems for organic grower groups. You will manage internal audits, ensure 100% compliance, and maintain exhaustive documentation for traceability and audits.

The role requires visiting rural farming clusters, handling farmer documentation, and data entry into traceability systems in line with NPOP and other organic standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field.
• 1–3 years’ experience in organic agriculture, IC documentation preferred.
• Knowledge of NPOP or other organic guidelines.
• Willingness to travel extensively within rural farming clusters.

Responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation for registered farmers and land maps. Cover 3 ICs in a month.
• Perform timely data entries into traceability software platforms (e.g., Tracenet for NPOP).
• Ensure new farmers read, understand, and sign membership agreements and pledge form.
• Document yields, storage conditions, and purchase records for audit trail.
• Assist IC Manager and external auditors during annual inspections.

Role -

The primary objective is to drive on-ground implementation and management of Internal Control Systems (ICS) for certified organic grower groups. Responsible for internal audits, and exhaustive documentation to guarantee 100% compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation for all registered farmers (Farmer Diaries, Farm History Sheets, and Land Maps). Cover 3 IC in a month
• Perform timely data entries into traceability software platforms (e.g., APEDA’s Tracenet for NPOP standards in India).
• Ensure all new farmers read, understand, and sign membership agreements and pledge form
• Document yields, storage conditions, and purchase records to maintain a clear audit trail

Internal Auditing & Inspection

• Manage documentation related to crop risk assessments, input approvals, and seed source
• Conduct routine internal inspections and surprise visits of member farms to verify adherence to organic standards (NPOP, NOP, or EU regulations).
• Fill out internal inspection checklists accurately and identify any non-conformances (NCs).
• Assist the IC Manager and external third-party certification auditors during annual audits.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, or a related field.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in organic agriculture, preferably handling IC documentation for farmer producer organizations (FPOs) or organic export companies.
• Knowledge: Understanding of the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) or other international organic guidelines.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in local languages - (preferred Telugu for South), basic computer literacy for documentation, and willingness to travel extensively within rural farming clusters.
