Job summary

Asian Paints Limited in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, is seeking an Executive N - Plant Engineering to manage capex procurement, vendor evaluation, and engineering services across the site. You will coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement, budgeting, and project execution.

The role requires hands-on experience with SAP, CAPEX workflows, maintenance budgeting, and asset care. You will prepare RFQs, POs, and BOMs, while upholding safety and compliance standards at the plant.

Qualifications

• Experience in Capex procurement and vendor evaluation.
• Strong knowledge of SAP procurement processes.
• Proficient in Power BI for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Capex material procurement: identify vendors, vendor evaluation, RFQ to vendor, quotation validation and tech comparison.
• Prepare Purchase Order documents per MF MFG 02 as per defined sheets and obtain manager approval.
• Engineering services: yearly agreements, service code in SAP, PR for annual contractors.
• ARC preparation for internal contractors: rate setting per minimum wages act, time study, evaluation with service rates expert.
• Capex execution: proposal, budget cost, BOM, RFQ, supplier orders, material receipt, installation and commissioning.
• Understanding the Capex process and documentation at APL.
• Asset care: maintenance budget planning, monthly tracking, budget consumption analysis.
• Metal scrap disposal: arrange disposal vendors per TNPCB guidelines, document disposal.

• Capex Material Procurement: Pipelines, Steel & Structural Materials – Identifying the Vendor, Vendor Evaluation, Floating Request for Quote to the Vendor, Quotation Validation and Preparation of technical comparison as per the defined APL Engineering standards
• Preparation of Purchase Order documents as per MF MFG 02 – Cost Comparison sheet, covering sheet, Interplant Comparison sheet and submits for Manager review and approval
• Engineering Services: Yearly Agreement preparation, Service code initiation in SAP Portal, Purchase Requestion preparation for all the Engg Annual Rate Contractor for contractors
• ARC Preparation for Internal contractors: Preparing the rates for Manpower jobs inline with minimum wages act for Tamilnadu chemical factories, time study of the services executed, evaluation with the service rates expert for finalization
• Capex execution: Proposal and budgetary cost preparation, assessments to be executed during proposal, BOM preparation, RFQ and Ordering to Vendor, Material receipt at site and Installation and commissioning. Understanding the APL – Capex Process and documentation.
• Expertise in Pipeline standards (Material of construction), Basics of Pumps and Operations, lifting tools and tackles etc.
• Asset care: Preparation of Maintenance budget, Monthly tracking of Maintenance budget, Analysis of budget consumed – Consumables, spares and services. Unit maintenance cost in line with the budget
• Metal Scrap disposal: Collection of Metal scraps across plants and placing in storage location, Identification of disposal vendors as per TNPCB guidelines, Evaluation of air and water consent for disposal vendors, rates from vendors, analyze with market prices and negotiation completion with hierarchy for disposal. Documentation of Scrap disposal documents.

Proficient in Power BI and SAP platform and transactions.
