Job summary

Safran Electronics & Defense in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced logistics professional to lead logistics operations for a new manufacturing plant. The role supports growth in electronics and actuation sectors and involves establishing and managing local and international logistics and warehouse functions aligned with corporate guidelines.

The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end transportation, warehouse processes, inventory control, and compliance with Incoterms and customs rules.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of logistics experience in electronics or automotive sectors; BE + Supply chain would be appreciated.
• Proven leadership capabilities with strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with ERP implementations is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.

Responsibilities

• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
• Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, shipping methods, and visual management
• Manage the warehouse to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
• Must be aware of Incoterms and customs rules and regulations.
• Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
• Responsible for upstream transportation from supplier to company and downstream transportation to customers including inter-company transfer.
• Selection of carriers for transportation as per delivery priority.
• Issuance of shipping orders, documents, customs passing steps, and follow-up to enable invoicing.
• Manage non-conformities and ensure parts meet production or customer requirements.

• Minimum 2 years of logistic experience, in the electronics or automotive industry with BE + Supply chain would be appreciate.
• Proven leadership capabilities with strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with ERP implementation is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
• Strong team player with collaborative and organizational strengths.
