Job summary

GMR Group in India seeks a dependable resource in the legal department to handle assignments timely and efficiently, enabling the business team to derive value from legal support and mitigate legal and commercial risks.

Reporting to AVP - Legal, the role focuses on contracts, advisory, land monetization, financing, and IT-related matters with strict adherence to SOP timelines.

Qualifications

• LLB degree required; additional qualification on debt & equity financing or international trade / commercial laws will be an added advantage.
• Two to three years of experience in financing or international cross-border transactions with strong academic understanding of commercial and foreign exchange laws.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts for Non-Aero and IT teams, with adherence to SOP timelines.
• Provide advisory to business teams and assess risks with mitigation measures.
• Support CPD team on land monetization matters and ensure timelines per SOP.
• Assist finance team on financing transactions and provide timely support.
• Assist IT team on assignments with adherence to timelines per SOP.

JOB PURPOSE

The position purports to be a dependable resource in the legal department for diligently handling the assignments in a timely and efficient manner so as to enable business team to obtain value out of legal support and mitigate ascertainable legal & commercial risks.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities

Key Performance Indicators

• Contracts drafting, negotiation & finalization for Non-Aero and IT team
  Adherence to timelines as per SOP
• Advisory to business teams
  Extent of Risk Assessment and mitigation measures suggested therefor
• Full support to CPD team on all land monetization matters, issues and documentation
  Adherence to timelines as per SOP
• Full support to finance team on financing related transactions
  Timely support
• Full support to IT team on all assignments
  Adherence to timelines as per SOP

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS
