Job summary

USV in Gujarat, India seeks a Utility Engineer to manage and operate plant utility equipment including HVAC, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, boilers and nitrogen plants. You will ensure PW, WFI and Pure Steam generation meets GMP standards and coordinate routine maintenance to minimize downtime.

Troubleshooting, CAPA, IQ/OQ/PQ for critical equipment, audit-ready logs, ENCON and water management, LOTO and safety enforcement, and coordinating with contractors for parts and servicing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate plant utility equipment including HVAC systems, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and nitrogen plants.
• Maintain Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), and Pure Steam generation per GMP standards.
• Plan and execute preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and prevent process delays.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement CAPA for critical utility failures.
• Execute IQ/OQ/PQ and periodic re-qualifications of critical utility equipment.
• Ensure full compliance with USFDA, MHRA, EU-GMP, and WHO guidelines alongside internal SOPs.
• Maintain detailed logs, equipment history cards, breakdown reports, and calibration records in audit-ready condition.
• Lead energy conservation (ENCON) and water management initiatives to optimize utility consumption and costs.
• Enforce LOTO and industrial safety norms across all utility operations.
• Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and third-party agencies for procurement, servicing, and spare parts management.

• Maintain black and clean utility systems such as Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), and Pure Steam generation as per GMP standards.
• Plan and execute preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and prevent process delays.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for critical utility failures.
• Execute installation, operational, and performance qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ) and periodic re-qualifications of critical utility equipment.
• Ensure full compliance with USFDA, MHRA, EU-GMP, and WHO regulatory guidelines alongside internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain detailed logs, equipment history cards, breakdown reports, and calibration records in audit-ready condition.
• Lead energy conservation (ENCON) and water management initiatives to optimize overall utility consumption and operational costs.
• Enforce EHS guidelines, Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, and industrial safety norms across all utility operations.
• Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and third-party agencies for utility equipment procurement, servicing, and spare parts management.
