Job summary

Piramal Pharma Limited, a unit of Piramal Pharma Solutions, seeks an Executive-Engineering to oversee operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of utility systems at our India facility. The role emphasizes ensuring reliable water and HVAC utilities to support production.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with water treatment systems and a Boiler Attendant certification is advantageous, with a focus on cGMP and regulatory adherence across USFDA, EU and other authorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility equipment.
• Knowledge of water systems (PW, DM water, RO) and associated treatment.
• Familiarity with HVAC, chillers, AHUs and cooling towers.
• Boiler Attendant certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation, cleaning, sanitization and maintenance of water plant per SOP.
• Attend predictive, preventive and breakdown maintenance of utility machines.
• Operate and troubleshoot utility equipment (air compressors, chiller, HVAC, water systems).
• Inform Engineering Executives/Managers of activities.
• Ensure uninterrupted utility services to plant to achieve production targets.
• Maintain ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 13485 awareness.
• Comply with regulatory requirements (USFDA, EU, TGA, MHRA, ANVISA, WHO, Schedule M).
• Participate in qualification, validation, calibration activities.
• Engage in EHS activities and document diligently.
• Maintain cGMP practices and documentation.
• Identify water/energy conservation opportunities.

Job Title: Executive-Engineering

Good knowledge of operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility equipment, including: Air Compressors, Chillers, Water Systems such as Purified Water (PW), DM Water, RO, Softener, UF, and associated treatment systems. Knowledge of HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, and refrigeration systems is desirable. Boiler Attendant certification will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• To ensure smooth and trouble-free operation, cleaning, sanitization and maintenance of water plant as per SOP.
• To attend the predictive, preventive & breakdown maintenance of utility machines as per requirements.
• To operate/troubleshoot various utility equipment’s like Air Compressor, Chiller, HVAC, Water System and other utility equipment.
• To keep Engineering Executives / Managers informed of Utility operation and maintenance activities.
• To ensure uninterrupted utility services to plant to achieve targeted production.
• To ensure no stoppage of machines due to non-availability of man power or utilities.
• To keep awareness of operational standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 13485).
• To follow the regulations of various agencies (USFDA, EU, TGA, MHRA, ANVISA, WHO, Schedule M etc.).
• To participate in qualification & requalification of machine/equipment and functional support for qualification, validation and calibration activity.
• Active participation in DMS, OE and EHS activities and engagement in the process.
• To comply with various regulatory and safety requirements pertaining to engineering activities.
• To maintain cGMP practices along with documentation in various records.
• To identify area of water/energy conservation and take measures for efficient utilization.
• To handover charge to next shift persons.
• To collect and dispose-off used filters / scrap material at proper place in scrap yard.
• To coordinate, extend support and report with engineering shift executive/ manager for any maintenance require with respect to engineering services if required.
• Identify repetitive problems, report and complete corrective actions as instructed to avoid recurrence.
• To keep tracking of engineering spares and keep Manager informed regarding the stock of spares.
• To create purchase requisitions in SAP system. (If SAP user id is available)
• To execute project, system and area modification/renovation works.
• To develop skill and efficiency as per the company requirement.
