Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) in Bengaluru, India, is seeking an Associate to lead day-to-day collections of outstanding invoices. You will ensure timely processing in Oracle, contact clients for payments, and collaborate across Finance Operations, Sales, and Groups to support global credit objectives.

The role requires a foundation finance qualification and about one year of relevant experience, with strong Excel skills and fluent English. Multinational exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Foundation-level finance degree or professional qualification.
  • Approximately 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a driven, target-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Experience in a multinational financial services/fintech environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor weekly aging for overdue debtors and ensure timely updates in Oracle.
  • Contact clients by email and phone to request payment of invoices.
  • Resolve internal and external disputes and queries.
  • Collaborate with Finance Operations, Sales and Sales Operations.
  • Perform reconciliations on unallocated or unidentified payments.
  • Support Group Credit Control Manager and peers in the Global Credit & Collections Team.
  • Assist in developing short- and long-term credit control strategies for global consistency.
  • Handle client emails in line with department policy.

Job description

Role Profile

The main purpose of this role is to lead the day to day collections of outstanding invoices that are due and payable to the London Stock Exchange from existing creditors, making sure that processes and policies are adhered to and pre-determined functional and organisational objectives, Key Performance Indicators and schedules are met. The selected candidate for this role will be reporting to the Assistant Manager – Credit Control in completing role responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and review weekly aging reports for over due debtors
  • Making sure all tasks, sub tasks and comments are entered into Oracle system within a timely fashion
  • Contacting clients via email and telephone requesting payment of outstanding invoices
  • Resolving internal and external client disputes / queries
  • Handle relationships with key internal collaborators in Finance Operations, Sales & Sales Operations
  • Performing reconciliations on unallocated or unidentified payments
  • Provide a key level of support to Group Credit Control Manager and peers within the Global Credit & Collections Team
  • Complete any other ad hoc requests as required by the Group Credit Control Manager.
  • Work closely with peers to develop short term and long-term strategies to enable the credit control team to ensure global consistency in achieving LSEG’s objectives and goals.
  • Handle client emails to department policy
Candidate Profile
  • Perusing a Finance degree/professional qualification at the foundation level.
  • One-year experience in a similar capacity
  • Experience working within a driven environment.
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages. Specially in Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in oral & written English, ability to articulate and develop ideas in order to respond clearly and concisely to various audiences who are internal and external.
  • Detail focus, and accuracy orientation.
  • Prior experience within a multinational company in the Financial Services / Financial Technology sector would be an added advantage
  • (Desired: Planning and prioritising according to business needs.)
