Job summary

EY in Mumbai seeks an Assurance Executive to carry out operational, financial and systems assurances. You will identify issues, perform substantive testing and document work as per plan, and present findings to management.

Ideal candidates have CA qualification, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple assignments with timelines. 0–1 year experience is expected; growth and development opportunities are offered within the firm.

Responsibilities

• Carry out operational, financial, process and Systems Assurances.

• Assist in reviewing financial statements and Assurance reports.

Job description

Assurance Executives are required to carry out operational, financial, process and Systems Assurances designed to review and appraise its activities, systems and controls, which includes:

• Identifying accounting & Assurance issues; discuss with Assurance in-charge to solve issues that arise,
• To carry out substantive testing of appliances in accordance with the Assurance plan formulated & appropriately document all work performed,
• Identifying improvements to control systems and procedures
• Presenting Assurance reports clearly highlighting key Assurance recommendations to management ,
• Preparing & maintaining books of accounts, Assurance, reconciliation of account receivable & payable, finalization of accounts,
• Assist the seniors in reviewing & checking the financial statements & preparation of the Assurance report, management comment letter & management representation letter.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• Must have strong knowledge of Assurance & accounting standards,
• Should have handled Assurance assignments earlier,
• Ability to prioritize work on multiple assignments & manage ambiguity,
• Strong verbal and communication skills,
• Clarity of thoughts and assertive,
• Effectiveness and creativity of written expression - logical, readability and conciseness,
• Good presentation skills and ability to respond promptly,
• Should be a team player with a proactive & result oriented approach,
