Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and administration support to the team.
  • Book all customer invoices in Accounts receivables and book receipts daily.
  • Book all vendor invoices in accounts payables and issue payments as per due dates regularly.
  • Prepare Payment, Receipt and general journal vouchers, as instructed.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation for regular vendors, to be reviewed by Senior Accountant.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly Petty Cash and Bank reconciliations, to be reviewed by Senior Accountant / AM Finance.
  • Coordinate with Vendors, Clients, etc. on all payments (directly or indirectly).
  • Assist with tax filing and related documentation to ensure strict compliance to the local regulations.
  • Assist the team on ad hoc projects to analyze and improve current process to bring in more efficiencies within the department.
  • Provide accounting support for the Firm being setup in India.

  • The person needs to have an analytical and compliance mindset.
  • The person in this role needs to come with excellent communication skills.
  • Focus and discipline is an important aspect of this role along with the ability to have an attention to detail.
  • The person must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
  • Being organized and skilled at time management is an important aspect of this role.
  • The person needs to showcase the ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with moderate level of difficulty.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited University.
  • Two to four years progressively responsible experience in the accounting and / or professional services industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and accounting standards including moderate level of knowledge on applicable UAE and / or Indian tax laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and commercial acumen.
  • Competency in MS Office (esp. MS Excel), accounting software.
