Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Chennai is seeking a Site Piping Supervisor to oversee shifting, erection and installation activities at the project site.

The role requires strong ability to read AutoCAD 2D drawings and P&ID, review GA and isometrics, ensure proper alignment and welding per WPS, and coordinate with QA/QC, stores, and subcontractors.

You will prepare daily and weekly progress reports and ensure safety compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Must understand AutoCAD 2D drawings and Piping Isometric drawings.
• Experience in installing pipes/spools per line diagrams in AutoCAD.
• Review GA drawings, isometrics and P&ID.
• Ensure alignment, fit-up and installation of piping systems.
• Monitor welding as per WPS and project standards.
• Coordinate QA/QC inspections, NDT and documentation.
• Plan hydro testing and flushing of piping systems.
• Ensure safety compliance during piping works.
• Track material consumption and coordinate with stores.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
• Coordinate with client, civil team and subcontractors.
• Certify measurements with client in a timely manner.

• Outfitting activities such as installation of pipes/spools based on the line diagram in AutoCAD (for layout)
• Review piping GA drawings, isometric drawings and P&ID.
• Ensure proper alignment, fit-up and installation of piping systems.
• Monitor welding activities as per approved WPS and project standards.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections, NDT and documentation.
• Plan and monitor hydro testing, flushing and other piping testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during piping works.
• Track material consumption and coordinate with stores for piping materials.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
• Coordinate with client, Civil team and subcontractors for smooth execution.
• Certification of measurements with client on timely manner.
