Job summary

Pi Square Technologies is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for Hyderabad/Bangalore locations. You will design, build, and optimize ETL/data pipelines using Ab Initio, SQL, and Spark, ensuring data quality and scalable transformations.

The role requires 8+ years total experience with at least 6+ years focused on Ab Initio, SQL, Unix Shell Scripting. Ideal candidates will troubleshoot production issues, collaborate with architects and business teams, and work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• 8+ years overall with minimum 6+ years in Ab Initio, SQL, Unix Shell Scripting
• Proficient in Ab Initio, SQL, Shell Scripting
• Can develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/data integration solutions using Ab Initio
• Can design and build scalable graphs, data pipelines, and transformation workflows
• Can perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation to ensure high data quality
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business teams to deliver data solutions
• Troubleshoot production issues, support deployments, and ensure reliable data processing operations
• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or similar role
• Strong problem-solving techniques with an ability to troubleshoot complex software issues
• Knowledge of GitHub Copilot
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
