Job summary

Tekskills is seeking an experienced ETL Engineer to manage Ab Initio environments, optimize data processing, and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams.

The role requires strong Ab Initio knowledge, Unix/Linux scripting, and ETL/Data Warehousing expertise, with cloud exposure (AWS) and CI/CD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Ab Initio tools (GDE/EME/Metadata Hub).
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Shell scripting.
• Solid ETL and Data Warehousing knowledge.
• Experience with databases (Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL, SQL).
• Cloud exposure preferred: AWS (EKS,S3,RDS), Docker, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Ab Initio components (GDE/EME/Control Center).
• Manage metadata repositories and operational consoles.
• Monitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot failures, and optimize performance.
• Manage user access, controls, and security protocols.
• Schedule ETL jobs (Control Center, Autosys) and develop automation scripts (Shell/Python).
• Provide L2/L3 support for ETL jobs and platform issues.
• Maintain configuration and process documentation; ensure compliance.
• Support cloud migrations and CI/CD using AWS/Azure/GCP and Jenkins.
