Job summary

Career Network is seeking an experienced Ab Initio ETL Developer to design, develop and support large-scale ETL workflows. You will transform data from multiple sources into data warehouses and DW marts using Ab Initio GDE and EME, while ensuring performance and quality.

You will collaborate with analysts to convert business requirements into scalable ETL designs and document runbooks. The role requires 4–8 years of hands-on Ab Initio ETL development, strong SQL skills, and experience with data

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of hands-on Ab Initio ETL development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ab Initio GDE graphs transforms and EME for metadata.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Experience with data warehousing and DW/marts design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and support ETL workflows using Ab Initio for large-scale data processing.
• Implement data extraction, transformation and loading from multiple sources into target stores.
• Develop reusable components and perform data validation, reconciliation and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with analysts to translate requirements into scalable ETL designs.
• Support production ETL jobs and ensure SLA adherence.
• Document ETL design, mappings and runbooks.

Role & responsibilities

Design develop test and support ETL workflows using Ab Initio GDE graphs and transforms for large scale data processing

Implement data extraction transformation and loading logic from multiple source systems into target data stores DW marts

Work with Ab Initio EME Enterprise MetaEnvironment for metadata management version control and deployment

Develop reusable components such as transforms XFRs DMLs parameter files and reference data structures

Perform data validation reconciliation error handling and performance tuning of ETL jobs

Collaborate with business analysts and data modelers to understand requirements and convert them into scalable ETL designs

Support production ETL jobs troubleshoot issues and ensure adherence to SLAs

Follow coding standards naming conventions and data governance guidelines

Prepare and maintain technical documentation ETL design documents mappings and operational runbooks 26 years of hands on experience in Ab Initio ETL development

Strong expertise in Ab Initio GDE graph development transforms and Unix shell scripting

Working knowledge of Ab Initio EME for metadata versioning and collaboration

Good understanding of ETL concepts data warehousing and data integration patterns

Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation

Experience handling large data volumes and performance sensitive ETL jobs
