Woodside Energy India is seeking a seasoned SAP lead to manage the S/4HANA ecosystem, ensure system performance, and drive cloud integrations. You will lead a team of technical specialists and coordinate with Digital leadership to align ERP roadmaps with the company’s digital strategy.

The role demands 8+ years in SAP environments, strong communication, and a readiness to grow into broader tech leadership within a global energy firm.

Qualifications

• 8+ years with SAP systems, with hands-on S/4HANA
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA, HANA DB and cloud systems (SAP BTP/OpenText/Ariba)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders
• Willingness to learn and grow in a Team Lead role with cross-functional collaboration

About the role

• Manages technical aspects of the S/4HANA system, ensuring the performance and availability suits the business needs.


• Manages a team of technical specialist roles to ensure the systems are managed and maintained appropriately.


• Is responsible for integrity of the system, and that the system architecture is fit-for-purpose and effective.


• Engages with key stakeholders through the various systems lifecycle to maintain systems currency, whilst driving innovation and managing costs.


• Collaborates with Digital leadership to align the ERP roadmap with the Digital Strategy.


• Constantly looks for innovation opportunities and manages new initiatives in line with the Digital policies and processes.


• Ensures compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley act and safeguards the business from adverse findings and weaknesses through the documented controls.


• Ensure system stability by ensuring the development lifecycle is followed and functional changes are tested effectively to ensure minimal business disruption.


• Maintains awareness of and complies with current Digital requirements and minimizes risk to the business.


• Manage vendor engagements for support and delivery, in line with Company CAPP Procedure.


• Is accountable for Change Management and representation of the DSC ERP Technical team at the Change Advisory Board.


• Provides input to the Digital budget process for ongoing systems support as well as functional enhancements and minor projects.


• Align with the technical, functional and development support provided by the Application Managed Services provider to ensure an effective and efficient support structure and process is maintained

Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in managing SAP systems and providing technical support


• Experience in supporting SAP S/4HANA, HANA DB and ancillary cloud systems such as SAP BTP, OpenText and Ariba.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.


• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships within a cross-functional team.


• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.


• Willingness to learn and grow in the Team Lead role.


• Bachelor’s degree in business systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
