Job summary

Walking Tree in Mumbai is seeking an ERP Technical Lead to own the technical delivery for D365 F&O and Business Central. You will design, implement, and optimize new ERP extensions, integrations, and data migrations while shaping delivery standards and reusable assets.

You will work closely with customers, drive estimation, presales support, and mentor a team of developers to ensure quality and on-time delivery. This role requires strong English and hands-on ERP expertise.

Qualifications

• 7-12 years in Microsoft ERP with 5+ years in D365 F&O or BC.
• Two full-lifecycle D365 F&O/BC implementations in hands-on role (design through go-live).
• Data migration at scale and integration patterns (OData, Azure services).
• Azure DevOps-based ALM: source control, builds, deployments for F&O/BC.

Responsibilities

• Own hands-on technical delivery across D365 F&O and BC: extensions, customizations, integrations, data migration and performance.
• Run the F&O/BC support and enhancement queue to SLA triage, root-cause, fix, and prevent recurrence.
• Design and build integrations with Azure services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, APIs) and Dataverse/dual-write where relevant.
• Own environment management, ALM and DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps) for ERP engagements.
• Support ERP pursuits: estimation, demo environments and technical responses to RFPs.
• Lead the technical build of product: architecture, AppSource-readiness and release management.
• Mentor developers and consultants; enforce code review and quality gates.

ERP Technical Lead

POSITION :- ERP Technical Lead (full-time)

EXPERIENCE- 7+ years (5+ in D365 F&O / BC)

LOCATION:- Hyderabad, Mumbai or Agra

In this role, you join our existing team to support ongoing projects and work closely with business to assist in winning Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Business Central engagements. This role will also help us in building ISVs on top of Business Central and F&O. You will be the hands-on technical owner of everything in the ERP area and the person who builds our ERP delivery standards, estimation models and reusable assets as the pipeline grows.

Key responsibilities

• Own hands-on technical delivery across D365 F&O and Business Central: extensions, customizations, integrations, data migration and performance.

• Support ERP pursuits: solution outlines, effort estimation, demo environments and technical responses to RFPs.
• Build the ERP practice's estimation model, delivery standards, checklists and reusable components.
• Lead the technical build of a F&O and Business Central-based product: architecture, AL development standards, AppSource-readiness and release management.
• Mentor developers and consultants working on ERP engagements; enforce code review and quality gates.

Must-have skills and experience

• 7- 12 years in Microsoft ERP, with 5+ years hands-on in D365 Finance & Operations (X++, extensions framework) and/or Business Central (AL) and demonstrable delivery on both stacks.
• At least two full-lifecycle D365 F&O or BC implementations in a hands-on technical role (design through go-live and hypercare).
• Data migration at scale (DMF / configuration packages), integration patterns (OData, custom services, Azure integration services), and performance troubleshooting.
• Azure DevOps-based ALM: source control, build automation, deployment pipelines for F&O and BC.
• Experience running a support/AMS engagement to SLA, including estimation and client communication.
• Clear written and spoken English; comfortable working directly with customers and presenting technical decisions.

Good to have

• Microsoft certifications: MB-500 (F&O Developer), MB-800 (BC Developer/Consultant), AZ-204 or equivalent; MB-700 a plus.
• Dual-write or Dataverse integration experience; Power Platform exposure (Power Automate, Power BI).
• AppSource publishing experience or ISV product development background.
• Domain exposure to real estate, manufacturing, retail or professional services.
• Copilot and AI-assisted development awareness across the Dynamics 365 stack.
