This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an ERP Consultant – Business Central (BC) based in India.

As an ERP Consultant, you will help businesses optimize their financial and operational processes through the implementation of enterprise resource planning solutions. You will specialize in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related ERP platforms, guiding customers from requirements gathering through implementation, training, and ongoing support. Working closely with clients, internal teams, and technology partners, you will ensure that solutions align with business needs and deliver measurable value. You will manage project plans, coordinate stakeholders, resolve implementation challenges, and contribute to customer satisfaction and service growth. The role also offers opportunities to support presales activities, improve service delivery practices, and mentor colleagues. You will join a collaborative, internationally connected professional services environment that values technical expertise, continuous learning, and customer success.

Accountabilities

• Customer Engagement and ERP Implementation: Plan and deliver implementations of ERP products and related solutions, following established best practices. Gather business requirements, conduct fit-gap analyses, configure delivery approaches, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

• Project Management and Delivery: Coordinate project planning, scheduling, kickoff meetings, milestones, status updates, and project closure. Monitor project progress, identify delivery risks, elevate issues when necessary, and manage change requests in alignment with agreed scope and objectives.

• Customer Support and Troubleshooting: Provide third-level technical and functional support to customers experiencing challenges during ERP implementation or product use. Investigate issues, recommend solutions, coordinate follow-ups, and help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Training and Knowledge Transfer: Deliver standard product training tailored to customer business scenarios. Develop training agendas, documentation, and supporting materials, demonstrate new features, and help customers maximize the value of their ERP solutions.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales teams to identify service opportunities and support revenue growth. Maintain productive relationships with implementation partners and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and positive customer outcomes.

• Team Mentoring and Technical Collaboration: Coach and support junior colleagues involved in implementation and service delivery. Participate in sprint reviews, assess new features and fixes, and provide subject matter expertise, design feedback, and recommendations.

• Service Development and Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of service offerings, implementation plans, and Statements of Work (SOWs). Apply lessons learned, document best practices, and share knowledge to improve delivery consistency and operational efficiency.

• Presales and Budgeting: Support presales engagements by preparing Time and Materials (T&M) estimates, developing project budgets, and obtaining the necessary approvals.

• Customer Site Engagements: Travel occasionally to customer locations when in-person implementation, training, or support activities are required.

Requirements

• Education: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred. A relevant financial qualification or professional accreditation, such as CPA, is also an advantage.

• Professional Experience: Approximately 2–5 years of consulting experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV, or Dynamics GP, including external product implementation and full-cycle ERP implementation experience.

• ERP Expertise: Advanced working knowledge of financial ERP systems, with a strong understanding of ERP applications, business processes, and implementation methodologies. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is particularly relevant.

• Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio for documentation, analysis, presentations, and project planning.

• Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL scripts, database queries, or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is an asset. Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and data visualization is also beneficial.

• Project Management: Experience coordinating implementation projects, managing schedules, monitoring deliverables, and handling scope changes is valuable. Familiarity with Microsoft Sure Step or other structured implementation methodologies is a strong advantage.

• Software Development Lifecycle: Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including collaboration with technical teams during feature development, testing, and deployment, is beneficial.

• Product-Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with related business software products, particularly multi-entity management solutions, is a strong asset.

• Communication and Client Management: Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly, manage expectations, and build lasting customer relationships.

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: A structured, detail-oriented approach to requirements analysis, troubleshooting, risk identification, and solution development.

• Collaboration and Leadership: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international teams, share technical knowledge, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a positive team environment.
