Job summary

Leading Institutional Broking Firm in Mumbai is hiring an Equity Research Associate to join the Institutional Research team. The role supports senior analysts covering Indian listed companies across sectors and involves building financial models and conducting fundamental research.

The ideal candidate has 1–4 years of experience, strong financial acumen, proficiency in modeling and Excel, and CFA/CA/MBA (Finance) preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in Equity Research (Sell Side preferred).
• Strong understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and MS Excel.
• CFA/CA/MBA (Finance) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Analyst(s) in covering Indian listed companies across sectors.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks.
• Conduct in-depth fundamental research, industry analysis, and peer benchmarking.
• Assist in preparing research reports, earnings updates, and thematic notes.
• Track quarterly results, management commentary, and key sector developments.
• Participate in management meetings, concalls, and investor interactions.
• Maintain databases, financial projections, and research trackers.
