Job summary

Sameeksha Capital is seeking a senior equity research professional to join the core investment research team in Mumbai. You will own coverage of sectors end to end, build investable theses, defend ideas in IC discussions, and guide junior analysts while contributing to investor-facing narratives.

Four+ years of buy/sell side experience, a CA/CFA/MBA qualification, and strong sector understanding are required.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of equity research experience on the buy side or sell side.
• CA, CFA, or MBA qualification; an undergraduate background in Science or Engineering is an advantage but not a requirement.
• In-depth understanding of one or more sectors.

Job Summary

Role: This role will entail working closely with the Fund Manager as a senior member of the core investment research team. You will own coverage of one or more sectors end to end generating and building the case for investable ideas across Indian and overseas listed equities, running the internal checklist process on your own ideas and stress-testing those brought by others, engaging directly with company managements, and leading the ongoing monitoring of existing positions in your coverage. You will be expected to defend your recommendations in investment committee discussions with a clear view on conviction and sizing, to guide and review the work of junior analysts, and to contribute to the research narrative that goes out to our investors.

Requirements

• Four or more years of full-time equity research experience on the buy side or sell side, with a demonstrable track record of calls you are willing to be judged on
• A CA, CFA, or MBA qualification; an undergraduate background in Science or Engineering from an institution of repute is an advantage but not a requirement
• In-depth understanding of one or more sectors
• A genuine passion for analyzing businesses, and the ability to predict with reasonable accuracy the future performance of the companies you analyze
