Job summary

Alstom in Vadodara, India, seeks a manufacturing readiness lead to support EPU activities and production start-up. You will coordinate operator training, qualification requests, and tooling deployment to ensure on-time manufacturing readiness for critical projects.

The role emphasizes delivering SQCD performance improvements, handling MES issues, and contributing to corrective actions and product changes as needed.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing/process readiness for expansion and EPU activities.

• Ability to plan, validate, and deploy production tooling and APSYS systems.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing preparation for activities within the EPU, ensuring readiness.
• Coordinate operator training and qualification requests (internal/external).
• Prepare APSYS deployment and related training.
• Define requirements for production tooling and start-up readiness in line with project plans.
• Track SQCD performance and drive continuous improvement actions.
• Manage issues in MES, support QRQC, and implement product changes when required.

The main responsibilities for project execution are.

• For the activity within the EPU contributes partially to
• Supply chain set up,
• Quality plan validation
• For manufacturing preparation of the activity within the EPU
  • Responsible for requests for training & qualification of operators, requests for hiring (internal, external, temporary), requests & requirements for sub-contracting
  • Responsible APSYS deployment preparation
  • Responsible for the operators training (covering manufacturing & self-inspections)

The finalization of manufacturing preparation for activity within the EPU

• The complete scope of manufacturing activities within the EPU, which also includes
  • Task assignment to operators,
  • Intermediate Handover (EPU level) including intermediate applied configuration (= as manufactured), self-inspections, dynamic checklist, NCR, rework, missing parts, waivers/deviations, incomplete operations
  • On time, closing of work orders in MES
  • Productive & Nonproductive hours booked in MES of all operators
  • APSYS deployment
  • SQCD performance for the activity in the EPU, and tracking the associated KPI
  • Continuous improvement of SQCD performance of the activity in the EPU
    • Optimizations of the workstation/work center using of APSYS Tools
  • Issues Management for the activity of the EPU
  • Issues are raised in MES on time
  • Contribution to corrective action of the issue (e.g. QRQC)
  • Execution of changes to the product, (if applicable)
  • Contribution to 1st Train(s) /products Manufacturing Feedback to support functions in order to improve SQCD performance
• Manage industrial risk through Process FMEA and associated improvement action plan.
• Define requirements and rules for associated tooling necessary to start production.
• Qualify the product/process pair as well as industrial means to be put in place in line with the design.
• Support sourcing and SPQD teams in the suppliers' qualification and in quality follow up for suppliers concerned by SP. Contribute to development of local suppliers.
• Manage evolution of quality control process dedicated to SP.
• Ensure deployment and validation of new processes in line with project planning
• Issue relevant documents in the Quality System.
• Manages technicians that are eventually under his responsibility.
