Job summary

Nectar Enviro in India is seeking a field- based environmental technician/scientist to collect water and soil samples for quality testing and to assess contamination risks.

You will analyse data on groundwater and soil impacts, interpret maps, boreholes and geochemical surveys, and prepare detailed reports and remediation plans for clients and stakeholders. You will also visit sites and interact with clients and vendors as part of routine data collection and project follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental sampling and field data collection would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collect water and soil samples for quality testing to identify contamination.
• Analyse data related to environmental impacts on groundwater and soil.
• Record and interpret geological information from maps, reports, boreholes, aerial photos and geochemical surveys.
• Research ways to minimize negative impacts of industrial activities to prevent Environmental pollution.
• Carrying out hydrogeologic evaluations of known or suspected waste sites, industrial zones and infrastructural sites.
• Preparing detailed reports and presentations based on field studies and laboratory research.
• Formulating remediation measures for treating groundwater and soil contamination.
• Training on fundamentals and application of groundwater science for students and industrial affiliates.
