Job summary

Google in Hyderabad seeks a senior EHS leader to develop and integrate safety solutions across R&D labs and offices. You will drive risk-based programs, create scalable procedures, and partner with security, facilities, and leadership to embed safety into daily operations.

You will conduct audits, lead investigations, and ensure compliance with local, national, and company EHS standards, contributing to a resilient campus culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in environment, health and safety (EHS).

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate safety solutions based on risk assessments to maximize worker protection in R&D, lab settings and office environments.
• Oversee the creation of procedures, program documentation, and digital tracking systems to ensure safety solutions scale across the region.
• Partner with cross-functional teams such as security and facilities to embed safety protocols into daily operations.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments; draft high-level reports for leadership on site safety and health.
• Lead incident investigations, incident response and tactical exercises. Support all campus compliance with local, national, and state environment, health, and safety (EHS) regulations along with company standards.

• Experience managing campus operations with a focus on compliance, research labs, permitting, employee safety, and emergency management.
• Experience working in a cross functional team environment in close partnership with facility management teams, security, and business leadership.
• Proven ability to manage complex, concurrent projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment; strong analytical and technical skills including the use of AI tools.
