Job summary

TCE in Mumbai seeks an Environment Expert to lead environmental assessments, ensure statutory compliance, and support safeguard documentation for infrastructure projects. You will apply knowledge of Indian regulations and international funding agency guidelines to prepare EIA/EMP, monitor implementation, and secure permits.

Experience with World Bank, ADB, and JICA-funded projects is preferred, along with strong field coordination and stakeholder engagement skills to drive project success.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and lead Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental Management Plans (EMP).
• Assess projects including Solid Waste Management, Water Supply & Sewerage, Roads, Metro and Urban Transport.
• Prepare Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and monitor EMP implementation for WB/ADB/JICA-funded projects.
• Ensure compliance with Indian environmental regulations including permits and clearances.
• Support project teams in securing environmental approvals including Consent to Establish (CtE) and Consent to Operate.

The role requires strong knowledge of Indian environmental regulations, international funding agency guidelines, and hands-on experience in EIA/EMP preparation and implementation monitoring.

  • Metro and Urban Transport Systems
  • Other Urban Infrastructure Projects
• Prepare Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and monitor EMP implementation for projects funded by agencies like World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), JICA, etc.
• Ensure compliance with Indian statutory environmental regulations, including obtaining and maintaining permits and clearances.
• Support project teams in securing and maintaining environmental approvals including:

  • Consent to Oper
