Job summary

Growth For Impact in India seeks a dedicated ecologist to author technical ecological reports, analyse bat sound data, and use GIS for desk studies and biodiversity net gain assessments. You’ll work within tight timelines, align with approved methodologies, and collaborate closely with the UK team.

Develop technical skills through CPD, manage own workload, and contribute to bids under senior guidance while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in ecology, environmental sciences, or environmental engineering.
• Experience with Anabat Insight or Kaleidoscope.
• Ability to interpret, review, and analyse data to produce reports.
• Understanding of UK and EU wildlife legislation, planning policies, and licensing requirements.
• Previous experience on international projects.
• Project management experience covering technical, financial, and quality assurance aspects.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and focused on technical excellence.
• Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong report writing, verbal communication, and presentation abilities.
• Quick learner, adaptable, and able to prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
• Capable of working independently or within a multidisciplinary team.
• Logical, organized, and follows senior guidance in project delivery.
• Awareness of time impact on financial performance; proactive management of time, resources, and budget.
• Ability to identify and communicate project or team concerns to the Line Manager.
• Open to discussing career goals and aspirations.
• Willing to share information and knowledge with team members.
• Demonstrates initiative and basic leadership skills to direct a small work group.
• Compliant with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
