Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support projects through the full lifecycle: conceptual design to detailed engineering and other docs.
• Use PLS-Pole software and internal tools for analysis, design validation, and component engineering.
• Develop engineering calculations, design reports, and technical documentation per standards.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and continuous improvement to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Build strong cross-team relationships and contribute to a high-performance culture.

Basic Functions:

Nucor Towers & Structures Inc, a division of Nucor, the United States' largest recycler and largest

manufacturer of steel and steel products, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of entry-level engineer or engineer with some experience positions at our business unit located in Noida, UP. Specific job responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• Perform structural analysis and design of steel utility structures, with a primary emphasis on steel tapered tubular transmission and distribution poles.
• Review customer specifications, drawings, standards, and Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to support engineering evaluations.
• Support projects throughout the complete lifecycle, including pre-sale conceptual design, detailed engineering, connection design and other engineering support documents as required.
• Utilize industry-standard software such as PLS-POLE and proprietary engineering tools to perform structural analysis, design validation, and component engineering.
• Develop engineering calculations, design reports, and support in technical documentation in accordance with applicable industry standards and customer requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts focused on enhancing product quality, engineering efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with teammates while contributing to a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
• Support and execute the strategic objectives of Nucor Towers & Structures.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism through clear, responsive, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.Tech or B.E. in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering
• 0-4 years of engineering experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Basic understanding of structural mechanics, strength of materials, steel design, and engineering fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• M.Tech in Structural, Civil, Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in the electric utility transmission and distribution industry, preferably with a focus on utility poles, transmission towers, substations, or related infrastructure projects.
• Experience using PLS-Pole software
• Knowledge of applicable U.S. design standards such as ASCE,AISC, AWS, NESC and OSHA, or other utility structure design codes.
