The Data Cataloging team within Franklin Templeton’s Enterprise Data Office serves as a cornerstone of the firm’s enterprise data governance strategy. By managing metadata, data lineage, classification frameworks, and access governance controls, the team ensures that data is trusted, discoverable, secure, and accessible to the right users at the right time. Through enterprise platforms such as the Data Marketplace, Enterprise Data Catalog, and Entitlements Manager, the team enables self-service access to curated data assets while maintaining governance, security, and compliance requirements. Working at the intersection of business, data, security, and technology, team members help establish the standards and capabilities that allow the organization to scale its data-driven and AI-enabled initiatives.
You will implement and enhance enterprise data governance processes, controls, and standards. You will administer and support metadata management and enterprise data catalog platforms. You will design, document, and operationalize end-to-end data lineage across critical data domains. You will support enterprise data classification, governance controls, and access management frameworks. You will ensure data assets are properly documented, governed, and aligned with security requirements. You will contribute to governance policy development, audit readiness activities, and compliance initiatives. You will use AI tools to improve efficiency, documentation quality, reporting, and analytical processes.
You will collaborate with business teams, data stewards, security teams, and technology partners. You will support enterprise data governance adoption and transformation initiatives. You will partner with stakeholders to implement secure and effective data access controls. You will help establish consistent governance practices across lines of business. You will contribute to enterprise-wide data management and modernization programs.
You will apply an AI-first approach to governance solution design and process improvement. You will identify opportunities to enhance governance capabilities using AI-powered solutions. You will evaluate trade-offs between AI-assisted and traditional approaches to delivery. You will automate manual governance processes and improve operational efficiency. You will support enterprise adoption of scalable, AI-enabled governance capabilities. You will stay informed on emerging technologies, governance trends, and modern data management practices.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
Certifications in data governance, Informatica, cloud platforms, or data management are beneficial.
Enterprise data governance frameworks and governance metrics. Enterprise data management and data catalog administration. Informatica IDMC Cloud Data Catalog and Governance (CDGC) or similar platforms. Data lineage architecture and implementation. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and data entitlement management. Enterprise data architecture, metadata, master data, reference data, and lifecycle management concepts. Business Intelligence reporting and governance analytics. GitLab, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines. AWS, Azure, cloud-based data environments, and data pipelines. Microsoft Copilot Studio and AI agent development.
