Franklin Templeton Investments is seeking a Data Engineer in Hyderabad to build and own data products within a fast-paced, enterprise data analytics environment. You will design and optimize data pipelines, partner with Sales and Marketing teams for scalable solutions, and ensure data quality and governance across platforms.

You will work with SQL, AWS, Python, Spark, and BI tools, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and observability while aligning with business stakeholders on analytics goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing enterprise data pipelines and platforms.
• Proven ability to deliver data-driven solutions with governance.

Responsibilities

About the Department:

The Client Data Services (CDS) team is a strategic data function within Enterprise Data Analytics that directly enables revenue growth, client engagement, and better decision-making through trusted data. The team delivers high-quality, governed client datasets that power sales strategy, analytics, and distribution intelligence across the firm. CDS operates as a cross-functional team combining data engineers, software engineers, and analysts who partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and business stakeholders. Work is highly collaborative, fast-paced, and outcome-driven. Joining this team provides the opportunity to work on enterprise‑scale data platforms, modern cloud technologies, and AI-enabled workflows, while continuously building technical depth and business context.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience designing and building enterprise data pipelines and platforms.

Technical Skills:

• SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling.
• AWS and relational/distributed databases.
• Python and/or Spark.
• Data pipeline tools.
• Control-M or Airflow.
• BusinessObjects or similar BI tools.
• Git, CI/CD, observability, and monitoring.

Soft Skills:

• Communicate complex data concepts clearly.
• Strong problem-solving mindset.
• Influence decisions across teams.
