Job summary

SKF is seeking an Enterprise Architect to drive architectural design and documentation at landscape level in Bengaluru. You will manage the completeness of SKF Enterprise Architecture to support strategic objectives, balancing risks, benefits, and costs while communicating clearly with stakeholders.

Lead the Architecture & Digital Innovation team, guide Domain and Business Area Architects, and align roadmaps with strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or related field.
• BA/MSc in Engineering, Business, CS, Information Technology or related field.
• Managerial-, leader- or other relevant experience from a Global enterprise.
• Experience in Architecture frameworks, methods and tools and in building actionable architectures.
• Proven experience of Technology enabled Business transformation.
• Effective in verbal, written and graphical communication.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross functions and organizations.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Develop and maintain the SKF Architecture “Concept model” and Framework
• Developing and maintaining various architecture artifacts, including baseline and target architectures and architecture roadmaps.
• Perform Architectural design and documentation at Enterprise Level
• Produce enterprise architecture and related views to support the needs of decisions makers at strategy and portfolio level
• Perform Architecture assessments, analysis and reviews of strategic initiatives.
• Performing architecture governance tasks.
• Support Business Areas, Domains and strategic initiatives
• Understand and interpret requirements from various stakeholders
• Create useful models based on requirements that adhere to architectural guidelines and principles
• Educate and drive the organization towards higher Architecture maturity and capability-based planning
• Assure correctness and completeness of produced architecture
• Actively contribute and develop the SKF architecture community

Reports To: Head of Enterprise Architecture

Purpose of the role

The Enterprise Architect drive the architectural design and documentation at a landscape and reference level. The Enterprise Architect has the responsibility for ensuring the completeness (fit-for-purpose) of SKF Enterprise Architecture to help SKF meet objectives and will be required to manage risks, benefits, costs of various choices in a communicative way.

The Enterprise Architect & Digital Innovation team have a Business focus and functionally lead group of the Domain and Business Area Architects as well as support Solution Architects related to strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the SKF Architecture “Concept model” and Framework
• Developing and maintaining various architecture artifacts, including baseline and target architectures and architecture roadmaps.
• Perform Architectural design and documentation at Enterprise Level

• Overall, 15 plus years of experience
• BA/MSc in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• Managerial-, leader- or other relevant experience from a Global enterprise
• Experience in Architecture frameworks, methods and tools and in building actionable architectures
• Proven experience of Technology enabled Business transformation
• Effective in verbal, written and graphical communication
• Proven ability to collaborate cross functions and organizations
• Fluent in spoken and written English
