Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited in Bengaluru is seeking an Enterprise Architect with 15–25 years of experience to lead strategic architecture across domains, drive legacy coexistence, and define technology roadmaps that enable end-to-end business flows.

You will guide domain architectures, establish guardrails, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and engage external ecosystems to accelerate speed and innovation.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering and architecture teams.
• Minimum 10 years of experience designing and building Internet-facing software systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture.
• International experience from companies operating in global markets, preferably retail/ecommerce/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic architecture, legacy coexistence and where capabilities should be implemented to ensure end-to-end flows and avoid costs in duplicate implementations.
• Lead and develop the strategic architecture perspective on prioritizations of domain work and its consequences to reach the company’s strategic outcomes.
• Develop the architecture view of the domain product and technology roadmap to reach its outcomes.
• Drive and develop Enterprise Architecture practices and apply guardrails through product and engineering teams at scale.
• Lead domain architecture in Enterprise Architecture to align with the customer value chain.
• Drive domain agenda, identify cross-domain dependencies in roadmap and prioritizations as part of domain leadership.
• Drive, lead and resolve big problems common across teams to enable speed and flexibility.
• Engage with external ecosystems including Inter customer to gain speed and flexibility in development.
• Define, develop and perform technical guidance and assessments in acquisitions to ensure investments fit the landscape.
• Keep updated with innovations and their application in the domain and value chain to enable technology leaps forward.
• Lead, inspire, develop and manage co-workers to secure a high performing team.

Role: Enterprise Architecture

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for defining the strategic architecture, legacy coexistence and where capabilities should be implemented to ensure end-to-end flows and avoid costs in duplicate implementations.
• Lead and develop the strategic architecture perspective on prioritizations of domain work and its consequences in order to reach the company’s strategic outcomes
• Responsible to develop the architecture view of the domain product and technology roadmap to reach its outcomes.
• Drive and develop the Enterprise Architecture practices and apply the architecture guardrails through the product and engineering teams in order to empower them at scale
• Lead the domain architecture in Enterprise Architecture in order to keep together the customer value chain.
• Drive domain agenda and identify cross-domain dependencies in the roadmap and prioritizations, as part of the domain leadership team, in order to invest and deliver on an optimal digital agenda.
• Drive, lead and resolve the big and hard problems that are common across teams in the customer value chain to enable speed and flexibility.
• Responsible for how a domain will engage and integrate with external ecosystems, including Inter customer in order to gain speed and flexibility in development.
• Responsible for defining, developing and performing technical guidance and assessments in acquisition activities to ensure that investments fit into the technology landscape.
• Continuously keep updated in innovations and how they can be applied in the domain and the overall customer value chain to enable technology or practice leaps forward.
• Lead, inspire, develop and manage co-workers in order to secure a high performing team and promote growth.

Requirements & Skills:

• Formal qualifications in Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience of leading engineering and architecture teams.
• Minimum 10 years of experience designing and building Internet-facing software systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture.
• International working experience from companies operating with e.g. eCommerce in global markets, preferably within the retail industry or consumer package goods/manufacturing.

• Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Architecture in an engineering organization.
• Deep business knowledge of a domain.
• Extensive knowledge of designing practical and effective architectures at massive internet scale.
