Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience as Lead Developer or similar leadership role.
• Strong software architecture and system design skills.
• Backend development with Python, Node.js/TypeScript, PHP/Laravel, or similar stacks.
• Designing APIs, databases, authentication, and integrations.
• Proficient in caching, queues, and distributed architectures.
• Experience with Docker, cloud infra, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to mentor and guide a development team.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Lead Developer / Technical Lead to lead complex software projects and provide strong technical direction to our development team.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who can understand a system end to end, make sound architectural decisions, guide developers through difficult technical problems, review implementation quality, and take ownership of the technical outcome of a project.

You will work closely with developers, project managers, QA, and company leadership to turn business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction of complex software projects from architecture through delivery.
• Design and review system architecture for new products, major features, and platform changes.
• Guide developers on implementation approaches and help resolve difficult technical challenges.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain strong engineering standards across the team.
• Identify potential security, scalability, performance, and maintainability issues before they become production problems.
• Make architectural and technology decisions based on business requirements and long‑term product needs.
• Work with project managers to break complex requirements into practical technical plans.
• Support technical estimation, solution design, and planning for new projects.
• Mentor developers and help improve the overall engineering capability of the team.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues that require understanding across multiple services or components.
• Evaluate new technologies and determine where they add genuine value.
• Take responsibility for the technical quality, stability, and long‑term health of the projects you lead.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience working as a Lead Developer, Technical Lead, Staff Engineer, Solution Architect, or similar technical leadership role.
• Strong software architecture and system design skills.
• Strong backend development experience with technologies such as Python, Node.js/TypeScript, PHP/Laravel, or comparable backend stacks.
• Experience designing and maintaining APIs, databases, authentication systems, and third‑party integrations.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Good understanding of caching, queues, asynchronous processing, and distributed application architecture.
• Experience working with production systems containing real users, business‑critical data, and uptime requirements.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills across multiple layers of a system.
• Good understanding of application security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Experience with Docker, cloud infrastructure, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Ability to review and understand frontend architecture even if frontend development is not your primary specialization.
• Experience mentoring developers and providing technical direction to a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions and trade‑offs clearly.

Technology Environment

Our projects use a broad modern technology stack including: Python, Node.js, PHP/Laravel, Rust, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and AI/LLM technologies.

You do not need to be an expert in every technology we use. Strong engineering fundamentals, architectural judgment, and the ability to work confidently across unfamiliar systems matter more than matching the stack line by line.

Experience with Rust, native desktop applications, real‑time systems, or security‑sensitive applications would be an advantage.

Our teams build and maintain complex SaaS platforms, AI‑powered products, enterprise integrations, large‑scale search systems, desktop applications, real‑time communication platforms, data‑processing systems, and cloud‑based business applications.
