Job summary

Promaynov Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd in Delhi is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the backend architecture, design, and evolution of scalable services. You will build production-grade systems using Java, Node.js, or Go, with Spring Boot or Express.js, and shape API contracts for distributed microservices.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for Engineering Manager with

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, design, development, and evolution of scalable backend services, APIs, and data-intensive systems.
• Build and optimize production-grade services using Java, Node.js, and/or Go, with relevant frameworks such as Spring Boot and Express.js.
• Design service boundaries, API contracts, data flows, and integration patterns for distributed and microservices-based systems.
• Drive performance, scalability, availability, and resilience through profiling, capacity planning, caching, asynchronous processing, and fault-tolerant design.
• Design, review, and optimize relational and NoSQL data models, queries, indexing, transactions, and data access patterns.
• Apply caching and search technologies such as Redis, Memcached, Elasticsearch, and/or Solr where appropriate to improve response times and discovery.
• Lead technical design reviews and code reviews; establish engineering standards for code quality, maintainability, testing, security, and documentation.
• Own production readiness and reliability, including monitoring, logging, alerting, incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements.
• Work with cloud-native infrastructure and deployment practices, with exposure to GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Collaborate with Product and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into pragmatic technical solutions and delivery plans.
• Mentor engineers, unblock complex technical issues, and raise the overall quality and consistency of engineering execution.
• Identify technical debt and architectural risks, prioritize remediation, and balance near-term delivery with long-term platform health.

Requirements

• 8–11 years of hands‑on experience in backend development using Java, Node.js, or Go.
• Strong expertise in system design, microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Proven experience building scalable applications using Spring Boot and/or Express.js.
• Proficiency in relational/NoSQL databases, caching, and search technologies such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production monitoring tools
• Demonstrated ability to own complex backend systems end to end, optimize performance, troubleshoot production issues, and drive technical decisions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex backend challenges.
• System design and architectural thinking to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• End-to-end ownership of development, deployment, performance, and production reliability.
• Technical leadership in code reviews, architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers.
• Strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams to drive effective execution.
