• Lead the engineering squad building Juniper Square’s next-generation fundraising platform — the system that digitizes private capital markets through a seamless, “one-click” subscription experience.
• This is a critical, hands‑on leadership role for a technical manager who thrives on replacing manual, fragmented processes with modern, scalable infrastructure.
• You will be deeply involved in your team’s technical direction, guiding architectural decisions, and solving complex, high‑scale engineering challenges alongside your engineers.
• This role demands a “player‑coach” mentality, where you will not only manage the team but also provide strong technical mentorship and contribute to design and architecture.
• Your leadership will be key to building reusable investor profiles, an “omni-channel” onboarding experience, and AI‑driven intelligence that automates complex financial workflows at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Overall has 11+ years of software development experience, with a clear trajectory of increasing technical leadership, architectural ownership, and mentorship responsibilities, along with 2+ years of engineering management experience.
• Proven experience in software engineering with significant hands‑on technical contributions, including experience in system design, architecture, and leading technical initiatives.
• Experience building scalable, high‑throughput web applications, ideally with modern frameworks (React preferred) and server-side languages such as Python, Node/TS, or Java.
• Demonstrable product focus and a keen understanding of how technology can solve customer problems and drive business outcomes.
• Highly self‑driven, with a proactive approach to leadership, technical problem‑solving, and initiative execution.
• Experience or strong interest in workflow automation, systems integration, and leveraging AI/ML tools to streamline complex financial processes.
• Experience working in agile development environments and familiarity with practices that promote rapid iteration and velocity.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders and align them on product goals.
• A strong “player‑coach” mindset, with a proven ability and willingness to be hands‑on with code, design, and architecture when necessary to lead by example and unblock your team.
• Enthusiasm for adopting and driving the use of AI‑native development tools and methodologies (e.g., Cursor, Augment, Lovable.ai).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams effectively in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.
• Prior experience in a formal engineering management role is a plus, but strong experience as a Tech Lead or a similar role with significant technical leadership, architectural responsibility, and mentorship responsibilities is highly valued.
