Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Delhi, India seeks a senior software leader with 8+ years in software engineering and 3+ years of hands-on mentoring.

You will build scalable platform services used by many teams, turning needs into reusable building blocks and designing robust APIs (REST, gRPC, event-driven). Strong distributed systems and data-engineering foundations are essential, with exposure to open-network ecosystems like ONDC/Beckn.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years leading and mentoring teams.
• Proven track record building platforms/shared services used by multiple teams.
• Strong platform thinking to create reusable building blocks.
• Deep systems and API design (REST, gRPC, event-driven) experience.
• Distributed computing and data engineering foundations for streaming with Kafka, Spark.
• Hands-on fluency with agent-assisted software development best practices.
• Experience enforcing standards with architects; good governance sense.
• Nice-to-have: exposure to ONDC/Beckn or similar ecosystems.
• Experience with registries, gateways, identity/credentialing, data platforms, or observability at scale.

• Proven track record of building and operating a platform/shared services used by many teams.
• Strong platform thinking, turning repeated, one-off needs into reusable building blocks.
• Deep systems and API design (REST, gRPC, event-driven) and distributed-systems experience.
• Strong distributed-computing and data-engineering foundations for streaming and large-scale processing with technologies like Kafka, Spark, and modern data platforms.
• Hands-on fluency with agent-assisted software development best practices, with a track record of moving teams in that direction.
• Sound build-vs-reuse-vs-consolidate judgment, with experience enforcing standards alongside architects.
• A strong plus: exposure to ONDC/Beckn or similar open-network ecosystems.
• Experience with registries, gateways, identity/credentialing, data platforms, or observability at scale.
• Experience establishing platform governance or internal developer platforms.
