The role focuses on secure, scalable delivery of digital transaction platforms while guiding high performing engineering teams to meet business objectives and provide reliable payment experiences for global customers.

Ideal candidates will have 12-16 years of experience, a strong background in Java/Hibernate, and domain expertise in payments.

• Coordinate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into backlogs and measurable outcomes.
• Guide teams on secure coding practices, encryption usage and transaction integrity in Java solutions.
• Manage code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for transaction flows and deployments.

• Responsibilities : -Oversee end to end design and delivery of Java and Hibernate based applications that power secure and highly available cards and payments processing platforms ensuring alignment with business and regulatory expectations. -Lead planning and prioritization of engineering work across multiple hybrid teams to ensure timely delivery of payment features stability enhancements and performance optimizations that improve customer transaction journeys. -Drive architectural decisions for core payment services by defining modular Java components and robust data persistence strategies using Hibernate focusing on scalability resilience and operational efficiency. -Coordinate closely with product and business stakeholders in the cards and payments domain to translate complex transaction requirements into actionable engineering backlogs and measurable technical outcomes. -Guide engineering teams in adopting best practices for secure coding encryption usage and transaction integrity in Java based solutions to reduce risk exposure and strengthen trust in payment platforms. -Manage comprehensive code review practices for Java and Hibernate components to improve code quality reduce defects and ensure consistent implementation of domain rules for cards issuance authorization and settlements. -Direct continuous integration and delivery pipelines for payment services ensuring automated testing of transaction flows regression validation for card features and smooth deployments within the day shift hybrid model. -Collaborate with risk and compliance partners to embed regulatory and scheme requirements into system design for cards and payments enabling accurate reporting and auditable transaction histories. -Mentor senior engineers on advanced Java and Hibernate patterns relevant to high volume payment systems empowering them to design solutions that support rapid scaling of digital transaction channels. -Align engineering roadmaps with enterprise goals by prioritizing enhancements that lower payment latency improve authorization success rates and reduce operational incidents impacting cardholders and merchants. -Ensure robust observability of payment platforms through logging and monitoring approaches tailored to Java services and Hibernate data operations enabling rapid detection and resolution of transaction issues. -Coordinate environment and capacity planning with infrastructure teams to support expected transaction peaks in cards and payments focusing on hybrid deployment models that balance performance and cost. -Drive collaborative incident reviews for production issues in payment flows documenting root causes in Java or Hibernate layers and ensuring preventative improvements are implemented across systems. -Qualifications -Possess extensive experience designing and delivering complex enterprise applications using Java and Hibernate with proven ability to scale solutions for high volume financial transactions. -Demonstrate deep domain understanding of cards and payments including authorization flows clearing settlement and dispute handling to translate business rules into precise technical implementations. -Show strong capability in collaborating with cross functional stakeholders across product operations and compliance to design payment features that meet regulatory expectations and customer experience goals. -Exhibit proficiency in modern development practices such as code review automated testing and continuous integration to maintain reliability and quality of mission critical payment platforms. -Apply solid knowledge of data modeling and performance tuning for relational persistence using Hibernate to ensure consistent and efficient handling of card and transaction records. -Utilize excellent communication and coordination skills to manage hybrid teams within the day shift schedule ensuring clarity of priorities and smooth execution across locations. -Bring a track record of working on secure software solutions in financial services or similar regulated environments focusing on protecting transaction data and minimizing operational risk.
