Rapyuta Robotics in India is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive innovation within the AMR development team. You will manage key engineers, shape delivery, and foster growth while maintaining high engineering quality.

The role emphasizes architectural guidance, code reviews, and mentoring, with responsibilities spanning hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, and collaboration with stakeholders to align priorities and deliverables.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering.

In this position, you will be working with our AMR engineering team to help drive innovation and optimization through strong team performance. You will manage key members of our AMR development team and process to ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner and team members are able to grow as excellent engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• People & Team Leadership: Build and lead a high performing squad by hiring and onboarding the right talent, running effective 1:1s, giving timely feedback, and addressing underperformance; foster a culture of fearlessness, ownership, and constructive disagreement.
• Delivery & Execution: Ensure reliable execution with clear quality bars, continuously improving ways of working, addressing potential blockers for delivery, and communicating progress, risks, and tradeoffs to stakeholders.
• Technical Leadership & Engineering Quality: Provide architectural guidance, participate in design and code reviews, coach engineers on development best practices, and help ensure the team produces maintainable, reliable, and scalable software.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Track record of leading or managing Engineers with a focus on high engineering quality and long term maintainability
• Experience growing engineers at all career stages (intern to senior)
• Experience building strong team culture
• Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, Agile Development and best practices
• Understanding of how to analyze and improve team processes to maximize efficiency
• Strong communication skills
• At least 7 years of experience in Software Engineering
• Experience working with CI/CD Systems
• Experience with distributed C++ system
