Job summary

Qualifications

• Membrane design, development, fabrication, testing and optimization.
• Experience with nanomaterials (carbon nanotubes, graphene).
• Proficiency with membrane characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, AFM, Raman, FTIR, XRD, BET).
• Experience with water treatment processes (nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, RO) and desalination.
• Strong data analysis skills using Origin, MATLAB, Python, JMP or similar.
• Experience scaling lab processes toward pilot-scale or manufacturing.
• Strong scientific writing for reports and publications.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer - Water Membrane & Fabrication Systems to join our R&D team. The role involves the design, development, fabrication, testing, and optimization of advanced membrane-based water purification and filtration systems. The candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for industrial, municipal, and specialty water treatment applications.

Hands-on experience in membrane fabrication and development.

• Strong understanding of membrane transport phenomena, filtration mechanisms, and separation science.
• Experience working with nanomaterials, particularly carbon nanotubes, graphene, or other advanced materials.
• Proficiency in membrane characterization techniques, including:
• SEM
• TEM
• AFM
• Raman Spectroscopy
• FTIR
• XRD
• BET Surface Area Analysis
• Experience in water treatment, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, or desalination technologies.
• Ability to design and conduct membrane performance testing, including:
• Water flux measurements
• Salt rejection testing
• Contaminant removal studies
• Fouling and cleaning assessments
• Long-term durability testing
• Knowledge of polymer science, composite materials, and surface functionalization techniques.
• Experience with SWCNT dispersion, coating, casting, or membrane fabrication processes is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with analytical and laboratory equipment for materials characterization and water quality analysis.
• Strong data analysis skills using software such as Origin, MATLAB, Python, JMP, or similar tools.
• Experience scaling laboratory processes toward pilot-scale or manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated ability to independently plan experiments, analyze results, and optimize membrane performance.
• Strong scientific writing skills with experience preparing technical reports, publications, patents, or customer-facing technical documentation.

Technical Requirements

• MSc, MTech, or PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
