Job summary

NoPo Nanotechnologies India Private Limited in Bangalore South invites engineers to design and scale membrane-based water purification systems. You will work on the development, fabrication, testing, and optimization of advanced membrane technologies, leveraging SWCNTs and other nanomaterials.

The role requires hands-on membrane fabrication, characterization, and data-driven optimization, with collaboration across R&D and manufacturing to move concepts toward pilot-scale production.

Qualifications

• MSc, MTech, or PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in membrane fabrication and development.
• Strong understanding of membrane transport phenomena, filtration mechanisms, and separation science.
• Experience with nanomaterials, particularly carbon nanotubes, graphene, or other advanced materials.
• Proficiency in membrane characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, AFM, FTIR, XRD).
• Experience with water treatment, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, RO, or desalination technologies.
• Ability to design and conduct membrane performance testing (water flux, salt rejection, etc.).
• Knowledge of polymer science, composite materials, and surface functionalization.
• Experience with SWCNT dispersion, coating, casting, or membrane fabrication processes is highly desirable.
• Strong data analysis and scientific writing skills (reports, publications, patents).

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer - Water Membrane & Fabrication Systems to join our R&D team. The role involves the design, development, fabrication, testing, and optimization of advanced membrane-based water purification and filtration systems. The candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for industrial, municipal, and specialty water treatment applications.
