Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking an engineer to perform detailed engineering of steam turbine stationary components, converting concepts into manufacturable outputs.

The role includes preparing BOMs, interface control docs, data sheets, and deviation reports, and supporting project milestones with timely updates to deliverables. Proficiency in ANSYS and OEM platforms for strength analysis is required.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree with strong fundamentals in mechanical design and analysis.
  • Ability to interpret concepts and translate them into manufacturable outputs.
  • Proficiency in documenting design data and BOMs for turbine components.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer detailed stationary components of steam turbines (outer/inner casings, diaphragms, steam chambers).
  • Prepare engineering documents: BOMs, interface control documents, data sheets, deviation reports.
  • Perform strength/structural analysis using ANSYS and OEM platforms; support teams with deliverables.

Job Description

Perform detailed engineering of steam turbine stationary components, including outer casings, inner casings, diaphragms, steam chambers, and bearing housings, by converting conceptual and performance-based designs into manufacturable outputs.

Generates project-specific engineering documents including Bill of Materials (BOMs), interface control documents, design data sheets, and technical deviation reports. Supports project teams with timely updates to engineering deliverables aligned with project milestones.

Preparation of Engineering documents like Manufacturing drawings,3D Models, Engineering Bill of Materials for of various stationary components of steam turbines—such as outer casings,Inner casing,diaphragms, steam chambers,pedestals etc.

Perform strength and structural analysis of various stationary components of steam turbines—such as outer casings, diaphragms, steam chambers, and bearing housing using advanced simulation tools like ANSYS and OEM-specific platforms.
