Eaton Corporation Pune is seeking a Mechanical Simulation Engineer to perform simulations of electrical products using MBD and static analysis tools. You will collaborate with local and global teams to understand design intent, develop and validate models, and substantiate engineering designs.

The role requires hands-on experience in ADAMS and ANSYS Workbench with a strong background in mechanical systems. You will contribute to the "Analysis First" strategy and support continuous improvement

Qualificações

What You’ll Do

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform simulations of electrical products, including data center products, switches, fuses, breakers, switchgear, and UPS systems, using Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD) and static analysis technologies.

The individual will work closely with local and global teams to understand design intent, develop and validate simulation models, and substantiate engineering designs. The candidate should have sound knowledge of mechanical systems and mechanics modeling techniques, with hands-on experience in ADAMS, ANSYS Workbench, and related simulation software.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technology and product teams to define problem statements.


• Understand project requirements and solve engineering problems in collaboration with local and global stakeholders.


• Understand existing simulation modeling methodologies and support their further development and maturity.


• Deploy developed simulation methodologies to strengthen the \"Analysis First\" strategy for electrical products.


• Develop simulation models for MBD, vibration, and static analysis to evaluate critical performance requirements of electrical products.


• Analyze, interpret, summarize, and communicate simulation results to global stakeholders, providing appropriate technical and design recommendations.


• Deliver meaningful insights through simulations to support robust product development and meet performance requirements and Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) parameters.


• Coordinate with stakeholders to understand analysis requirements, develop appropriate analysis approaches, and solve problems of simple to medium complexity.


• Support the development and maturity of structural analysis capabilities for electrical product lines.


• Engage with product and test engineers to improve analysis models and validate simulation approaches using test data.


• Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks.

Master’s degree in Mechanical / Machine Design from reputed institute
